Decisions to get right
APM, BCM and connectivity services perform different roles. Their combination depends on your edition, release, licensing and architecture. For POBO and ROBO, legal, tax, banking and operational requirements must be resolved alongside the SAP design; the software configuration alone does not establish permission to operate the model.
Common questions
Is APM the same as BCM?
No. APM concerns central payment processing, while BCM addresses bank communication management processes such as approval and monitoring. The precise handoffs depend on the implementation.
Does APM require an in-house bank?
Define the required operating model first. In-house banking is a related capability, but the payment processing design and selected scope need to be assessed for your own requirements.
